Inspired by theoretical accounts of contemporary forms of subjectivity NARCISO plays upon the notion developed by some academics as “neo-narcissism”. The piece is the result of a deep theoretical and practical investigation.
A teenager locks himself up in the bathroom. In his pocket he has a cheat- sheet for a test they had at school. In the sheet are written ten characteristics to identify a suicidal person. The school is trying to give the students tools for self-discipline. He decides he will never come out of the bathroom again, he is sick of his parents. In his growing boredom in the bathroom he finds the piece of paper in his pocket and in each point he sees a reflection of himself. Does this mean he should commit suicide?”

By means of a simple and entertaining story, a strong emphasis on physical acting, and a dark and corrosive humor, NARCISO offers us a chance to dialogue with the image of ourselves.
